We have Counsellors and there are different Counsellors ! There are virtues we find in Counsellors that draw many to them. Dr. Mrs. Obasoro is just an exceptional counselling psychologist. This woman is a woman that her passion, experience, interest, courage and exposure have made her to excel in the Counselling profession and have endeared many to her. Just an encounter with her is full of motivation, inspiration and encouragement. I have known her close to two decades and her drive for Counselling matters is worthy of emulation as my personal encounters with her makes my testimony about her prowess real and factual.

Dr. Mrs. C.B. Obasoro combines Christian virtues with excellent counselling skills that reflected on her dealings with those of us who had contact with her at work. Overtime, l listened to students commending her professional candour of kwonledge impartation in classrooms. Her mere presence at all times proffers solution to social disorder or emotional indisposition. Mama is a great virtue and would wish she never retired from active service with the Federal Government of Nigeria where destinies are moulded for the benefits of the entire mankind as a seasoned and brave teacher of Psychology and Counselling. I have always been greatful unto God for having someone like mummy Obasoro whom God has endowed with divine wisdom in meeting the needs of people in counselling. Whenever am facing with some challenges which look insurmountable, I usually visit her and within some minutes of her discussion with me, such challenges must have been solved. Those in need of proper counselling now have a place to go for seamless counselling and therapeutic intervention. Dr. Mrs. Obasoro is versed in theory and practice of counselling with amazing skills and prowess. She has practised counselling for decades and could be relied upon in assisting individuals, both young and old, and families in their challenges. The first time I met Dr.Mrs obasoro was while she was supervising me for my postgraduate diploma course. Before then, all our conversations had been on WhatsApp. Even though we had never met, that natural motherly instinct and intuition were always present in every conversation we held. We spoke on issues outside of school work cause I had lost a loved one during the course of my work. Her constant words of encouragement, support, and continuous care kept me going and eased my burden a whole lot. Her words gave meaning to the emptiness I was feeling and made me find the strength to carry on.

I have known Dr. Mrs. Obasoro since 2007 when I became a lecturer at the then Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo. She is a seasoned counsellor who has offered her services as a lecturer and counsellor. She was the pioneering Acting Director of the Counselling and Human Development Centre in the College. Her mien and personal disposition is quite endearing, and this makes it easier for people to unburden their hearts to her. She always has the right words to lighten a burdened heart. I have known Dr Mrs Caroline Obasoro for a period of twenty six years. She has been my mentor and a source of inspiration . Through her mentorship, l obtained scholarships to train as a Professional Counsellor provided by Dr Carolyn Gentle-Gentity at school of social work, Indiana university Purdue university, Indianapolis (IUPUI), USA and undergoing a certificate training on Social Emotional First Aid with Dr Larrier Yvonne at Institute of Mental Health Education and Relationship Strategies USA.I am consistently impressed by her professional competence, ethical integrity, and unwavering commitment to the field of Counselling . She possesses an extensive background in Counselling and mental health, with international certificates. In her role as a Counsellor , she has consistently exhibited exceptional skills in establishing therapeutic relationships and assessing client needs. The recent opening of her Counselling clinic is a testament to her commitment to help people navigate life challenges through a therapeutic relationship. The clinic creates a welcoming, professional, and confidential environment for individuals seeking support.

Walking into her office gave me a new perspective about life. Her counseling sessions is a rare blend of professionalism, motherly care and spirituality. I became encouraged, inspired and believed that my challenges were only stepping stones to greatness.
